Gap in the Weather

So it's been several months... OK half a year since we posted last. We've been busy. To catch you up to date Russ got sent to California at the end of March and didn't come back until the middle of July. I made him come home to help me to move. The new place is idyllic. Flowing stream, forest, wildlife and not a lot of people.

The last snow fell on June 06th. We already had the first snow in the Mountains in August. It hasn't made it down to the foothills or the Powder River Basin but it's only a matter of weeks. The weather can't make up it's mind if it's summer or ??? It has been raining some every week. They say it's unusual.

We've made friends with the local deer. Russ is having fun on the riding mower and I'm finally setting up my craft shop again. I have noticed though that I haven't picked up a jewelry tool or a knitting needle since I picked up the online mega multiplayer game Evony. So I'd like to give a shout out to all of my alliance compadres on server 6. I will have to not be online raiding level 5 NPCs every once in a while so that I can make jewelry, hand spun yarn and home accesorries. I hope you understand.

See you soon!

Summer in April?

the weather is absolutley stunning. Sunshine blue skies birds cherpping. it's 75 degrees. In April!! It feels a lot warmer. I am not looking forward to summer. I don't like the heat. They tell me it's a dry heat. That's usually easier to take. But I have seen 40 degrees and was feeling too hot.

Two Months In

Well it's been two months since we arrived in Wyoming. So far we have done our best to fit in. The cold is really a freaky thing. Cold here is not cold like in California. If it gets into the 50's in
San Diego people are bundled up and huddled in front of their fireplaces or have their heaters cranked up to high. Here cold isn't as cold until it gets really cold. For instance, yesterday we stopped to fill up the tank. While Russ was pumping the petrol I rolled down the window and was enjoying the warmth of the sunshine. I remarked that if felt like 70 degrees out. I looked at the thermometer and it was only 23 degrees! And I have new weather measurements like "too cold to snow".

Speaking of snow, it's falling again.
